Dr. Peterson specializes in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome, cumulative trauma disorders of the upper extremity, lower extremity disorders, neck disorders and low back disorders.
Dr. Peterson utilizes Active Release Technique® in treatment of most conditions in our office. The Active Release Technique® Soft Tissue Management System provides a way to diagnose and treat the underlying etiology of cumulative trauma disorders, as well as, acute injuries that may cause symptoms of numbness, tingling, burning and pain. This technique is used in conjunction with chiropractic manipulative procedures to address the many roles of soft tissues in injuries. This is the only myofascial release technique utilized by chiropractors that is credentialed through a medical college. This treatment has successfully treated conditions which have traditionally gone unresolved while requiring long term care including surgical intervention. It is Dr. Peterson’s belief as a healthcare provider that it is his responsibility to provide his patient’s with the best possible care available. He believes that many conditions are best addressed with a multi-disciplinary approach. It is his belief and experience that traditional forms of conservative management, when utilized concurrently with specific chiropractic manipulation and Active Release Technique®, will resolve a patient’s condition more rapidly and with better results.
Over the past 15 years, his practice has focused in the field of worker’s compensation, where he has specialized in the treatment of cumulative trauma disorders. His high success rate in returning patients to pre-injury status with little to no permanent impairment allows him to offer chiropractic care as a low cost alternative to traditional medical treatment. By evaluating all aspects of a claimant’s injury from proper ergonomics to preventative post-release stretching exercises, Dr. Peterson has reduced the need for temporary total disability and permanent partial disability. Dr. Peterson has treated world-class collegiate athletes from all around the southwest as well as Professional athletes and olympians.
