Introducing our newest doctor, Chris Barnes.  Dr. Barnes has been a patient of Dr. Peterson for over a decade and it was this relationship that inspired him to follow in Dr. Peterson’s footsteps.  Dr. Barnes previously worked on staff from 2006-2007 before matriculating to Chiropractic school where he remained very active with the office.  During his time in school, Dr. Barnes produced commercials for our office,  as well as designing the all-new facility we currently reside in.  Dr. Barnes brings a new mix of techniques and treatment philosophies to the office as well as a new energy that the patients will love!  Dr. Barnes is a graduate of Union High School, The University of Tulsa and Cleveland Chiropractic College.  Dr. Barnes is owner of Tensegrity Chiropractic and operates independently within our facility.

Dr. Barnes utilizes functional assessment like gait analysis and movement patterns to figure out what the cause of pain is and how to correct it effectively.  He has a thorough knowledge of the kinetic chain and uses very specific functional tests to find out why you’re having pain.  For instance, a baseball pitcher may report elbow pain, but the problem in the chain may actually be the shoulder, hips, or even the ankles.  This is what separates Dr. Barnes from nearly every other doctor who claims they look for the cause of pain.  Dr. Barnes’ assessment and diagnostic skills are his greatest treatment tools.  In fact, Dr. Barnes uses his gifts as as photographer/videographer to videotape many of our patients in their activities to determine whether their form is actually creating their pain.   On top of diagnostic expertise, Dr. Barnes uses a variety of techniques to help get you out of pain. Whether it’s the cutting edge technique FAKTR, Active Release Techniques, Graston, Rehab, or applying the most sophisticated kinesio taping and strapping protocols, Dr. Barnes works tirelessly to get you back on your feet and out of the doctors office as soon as humanly possible.  Dr. Barnes has the heart of a teacher and will make sure you fully understand what’s going on with your body so that you’ll understand the treatments and the importance of rehab.  In most cases, Dr. Barnes is able to keep you active during your treatments.  He knows how important it is to you to be able to train and will make his treatments as effective as possible to keep you active!   Dr. Barnes is also one of the few practices in the state that work with the renowned Xtreme Footwerks in providing some of the finest custom made orthotics available.  Dr. Barnes completed nearly 500 hours of continuing education seminars during his chiropractic education, which is over 30 times the required amount by the state of Oklahoma per year.  This drive to continually learn new assessements, techniques, treatments, and rehab protocols is what sets him apart from most other physicians.
